Getting here, staying here
Travel & Stay
Walnut Creek sits just east of San Francisco, over the hills and through the tunnel. Everything below is a short hop from everything else.
Two Airports, One Tunnel
Fly into San Francisco or Oakland; both are about forty five minutes away by car. Better yet, BART runs from both airports straight to downtown Walnut Creek, no car required, and both hotels are a short walk from the station.
If you drive, Highway 24 brings you through the Caldecott Tunnel and drops you practically at the hotel lobby.
Room Blocks
The Walnut & Vine Inn
Our home base for the weekend. The shuttle to welcome drinks and to Foxhollow leaves from this lobby.
Mention Ava & Theo when you book for the block rate.
Creekside Court Hotel
A few blocks over, along the creek path. Same block rate, same easy walk to downtown dinner and coffee.
Mention Ava & Theo here too.
Leave the Car
A shuttle runs Friday evening to welcome drinks and back, and Saturday to Foxhollow before the ceremony and home after the last song. It leaves from The Walnut & Vine Inn. Ask for seats when you RSVP so we save you a spot.
There is parking at the estate if you'd rather drive yourself. That said, the shuttle means nobody has to move a car after dinner.
Around Town
Coffee · Downtown Walnut Creek does it well. Wander Main Street until a cafe pulls you in; they're all a short walk from both hotels.
Tacos · Taquería Norte. Trust us, and get two of whatever they suggest.
A morning walk · The Iron Horse Trail runs right through town, flat and shaded. Borrow a bike if you're feeling ambitious; brunch forgives everything.
Room booked, shuttle seats saved? One thing left.
